Effective July 5, 2026 ยท nocapdiet.com and the No Cap Diet Android app
The short version, no cap: we collect the minimum we need to run the app, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything yourself, in the app, any time.
Health information gets its own page. Weight, body measurements, food logs and workout
logs are treated as consumer health data under laws like Washington's My Health My Data Act, and
they are covered in more detail โ including exactly who touches them and how to get them back or
erased โ in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
What we collect
Account info โ your email, username, and password (stored as a hash; we never see the password itself).
Diet profile โ the diet track you pick, optional filtering criteria (e.g. "Under 5g Carbs"), excluded ingredients, and an optional goal line you write yourself.
Food & activity logs โ meals you log and daily macro totals. Your day-by-day history lives on your own device; a daily summary syncs to our database so features like Friends leaderboards work.
Workout logs โ workouts you record in the Fitness tab, the routines you build, and your movement streak.
Biometrics you type in โ height, weight, age, sex, and activity level, used to calculate your calorie target. Daily weigh-ins you log are stored in your account so your trend line follows you across devices; they are never shared with friends or anyone else.
Scale readings, only if you connect one โ if you link a Withings scale, we receive the weight and body-composition readings it takes. You start that connection, and you can disconnect it any time.
Billing info, only if you go Pro โ if you subscribe, Stripe (our payment processor) handles your payment details and receipt email directly; we never see or store your card number. We keep your subscription status and renewal date so the app knows your plan.
Recipes and content you submit โ community recipe submissions, including the username shown on them.
Basic usage analytics โ anonymous events like "recipe opened" tied to a random session ID, so we can see which features get used. No advertising trackers, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics scripts.
Email leads โ if you type your email on the homepage before signing up, we store it so we can follow up about the app.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) and served through Cloudflare. If you go Pro, payment is handled by Stripe, which processes your payment details and email directly โ we never see your card number. Supabase, Cloudflare, and Stripe all act as processors on our behalf. We don't run ads and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone. Ever.
Your rows are readable and writable by your own account only โ that's enforced in the database itself, not just in the app.
What we use it for
Running the app: matching recipes to your diet, portioning meals to your calorie target, syncing your Pro status across devices.
Social features you opt into: friends, leaderboards, and nudges only ever share your username, emoji, and daily summary โ never your biometrics or full history.
Improving the app with aggregate usage numbers.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to keep your tracking history on your device. No advertising cookies.
Deleting your data
Self-service: open the app โ profile menu โ Delete Account. This permanently erases your account, profile, logs, and friend connections. There is no recovery.
By email: if you can't sign in, email nocapdiet@gmail.com from your account address and we'll delete it for you.
Children
No Cap Diet is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Not medical advice
Nutrition values in the app are estimates, and nothing in the app is medical advice. See the Terms & Disclaimer inside the app for the full version.
