Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective August 20, 2026 · nocapdiet.com and the No Cap Diet Android app

This page covers only the health-related information in No Cap Diet. It sits alongside our general Privacy Policy and exists because some of what a diet app holds — your weight, what you eat, a filter you turned on — counts as consumer health data under laws including Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370.

The short version: we hold the least we can, nobody buys it, nobody outside the companies that run our servers sees it, and you can read it all back or erase it yourself in about ten seconds.

What health data we collect

Body measurements you type in — height, weight, age, sex, and activity level. Used for one thing: calculating your daily calorie and protein target so meals portion themselves instead of you guessing.
Weigh-ins you log — each weight entry and its date, so your trend line follows you between devices.
Food logs — the meals you record and the daily calorie/protein/fat/carb totals they add up to.
Movement and workout logs — workouts you record in the Fitness tab, the routines you build, and your movement streak.
Filtering criteria you switch on — the two optional recipe filters ("Under 5g Carbs" and "No Seed Oils") and any ingredients you exclude. These are food-filter settings, not a diagnosis, and we never ask you to tell us about a medical condition. Some people switch them on for health reasons, so we treat the setting as health data anyway.
Your diet track — Carnivore, Ketovore or Keto — and an optional goal line you write yourself in your own words.

We do not collect diagnoses, prescriptions, medications, lab results, genetic data, biometric identifiers (no face, fingerprint or voice), reproductive or sexual health information, or precise location. We do not infer health conditions from your data, and we do not use geofencing.

Where it comes from

All of it comes from you, typed into the app on purpose. Two exceptions, both opt-in and both started by you:

Withings — if you connect a Withings scale, we receive the weight and body-composition readings it takes. You start that connection and you can disconnect it any time.
Your own device storage — day-to-day history is kept in your browser's local storage on your device, and a daily summary syncs to your account.

We buy no health data, we accept none from data brokers, and we run no third-party advertising or analytics scripts that could collect it behind your back.

Why we collect it, and how it gets used

Working out your calorie and protein target, and portioning every planned meal to hit it.
Matching recipes to your diet track and to filters you have switched on.
Drawing your own progress back to you — trend lines, streaks, history.
Counting anonymous, aggregate feature usage so we know which parts of the app people actually open. These numbers carry no health data and no name.

That's the whole list. We do not use health data for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not make automated decisions about you beyond arithmetic on numbers you typed in yourself.

Who we share it with

We have never sold consumer health data, and we never will. Selling it would require your separate signed authorization, and we do not ask for one because we do not do it.

Two categories of third party touch it, both as processors working on our instructions, both contractually barred from using it for their own purposes:

Supabase — our database and login provider. Your account and health data are stored here.
Cloudflare — serves the site and the app.

If you connect a Withings scale, Withings is the source of those readings and their own privacy policy governs your Withings account.

We have no affiliates. Social features you turn on yourself — Friends, leaderboards, nudges — show other users only your username, your emoji and a daily summary. They never expose your biometrics, your weight, your filters, or your history.

Your rights

Confirm and access. Open the app → profile menu → Export My History (CSV) to download every day of your logs as a spreadsheet — free on every account, never behind Pro. Your profile screen shows the biometrics and filters we hold. Want the complete file including the list of anyone it has been shared with? Email us and we will send it.

Withdraw consent. Switch any filter off, clear your biometrics, or disconnect Withings in the app — takes effect immediately, and we stop collecting that category from that moment.

Delete. Open the app → profile menu → Delete Account. That erases your account, profile, biometrics, weigh-ins, food and workout logs, and friend connections — from us and from our processors. It is permanent and there is no recovery. If you cannot sign in, email us from your account address and we will do it for you.

Appeal. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing and how to appeal. If we deny the appeal, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General.

Requests are free and answered within 45 days. We may need to confirm you are the account holder before acting.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists, because it is your history and you are the one reading it. Delete your account and it goes. We keep no shadow copy.

How it's protected

Health data is protected by row-level security in the database: your rows are readable and writable by your account only. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access on our side is limited to the two administrator accounts that operate the service.

Children

No Cap Diet is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The calculator does not accept an age under 14.

Not medical advice

No Cap Diet is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Nutrition values are automated estimates. "Under 5g Carbs" and "No Seed Oils" are automated recipe filters based on ingredient data — not clinical judgments and not a statement that a food is safe for you. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the effective date above, and tell you in the app before the change applies to data we already hold.
